It was great to return to North Queensland after MAD’s previous work in the tropics, this time to begin on branding for a new property services owner, starting up his new venture after gaining years of invaluable experience over various trades. We assessed his competition and created an original, modern logo, with a clean, minimal font. The icon is in the shape of a building as well as representing a capital ‘A’, with the middle stroke removed from the starting letter of text in the logo to help the client come to this conclusion. The three colours represent the three areas his services reach - residential, commercial and resort, and are a striking colour scheme when applied to a black background.

For the paperwork, email flash and cards we kept a similar feel, a low opacity version of the icon with his information overlaid, the colour is provided with the vibrant orange strip. We used the simplified APS logo for the embroidery on the uniforms, which also works well for their social media platforms.

For the vehicle we initially wrapped his bonnet in matte black vinyl to cover the years of sun damage, before applying strategically placed graphics to create a graphics package. This technique is more cost efficient than a full wrap and definitely achieves similar results, with the two metallic matte vinyls being separated by the simple gloss grey contrasting against the dark vehicle.
