coco + palm productions

It’s always great to hear from past clients for new work, as it means they were happy with our designs and service previously. So we were excited to hear from a previous client’s partner looking to rebrand her existing photography business, which she was also expanding into a more comprehensive production company, Coco + Palm Productions. Our brief was to create a modern branding package to relate to their new name, industry, and Far North Queensland Location, without being too cliche.

Using their CPP initials, we represented the sunset and its reflection on the ocean, with the stalk of the reflective P continuing to the beach and finishing with the palm tree silhouette. The leaves of the tree also become the flash of a stylised camera icon, which when combined with the previously mentioned elements forms a stylised camera icon with the C representing the lens exterior.

The beautiful orange and purple colour scheme represents the sunset and ocean from the icon, and helps to give a relaxed feel with the font choice still formal enough for corporate work. The underlaying image of the coco palms is a photograph of a famous section of Port Douglas foreshore and was taken by Jasmine herself, to help give an extra sense of ownership to her branding and also be relatable to her local clientele.

We then used a greyscale version of this image on the rear of her cards for continuity, light enough for the contrasting contact information to be easily read, with an inverted logo which can then be used on white backgrounds for paperwork and the accompanying email flash.
